Garden Party fetes Health Initiative [photos]
The Health Initiative toasted its donors and supporters on Sunday, hosting its 17th annual Garden Party and celebrating a year of big changes for Atlanta’s LGBT health group.
Sunday’s event took over Einstein’s – a silent auction in one room, cocktails and speeches in another, entertainers and a dance space on the patio – and marked the first Garden Party since the Health Initiative announced a name change, rebranding and broadening of its outreach from lesbians to include gay men, transgender and gender variant folks at last year’s event (view photos).
The Garden Party included presenting the Health Initiative’s Healing Angel Award to the Atlanta Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (top photo). Since their formation three years, the Atlanta Sisters have become a perpetual fundraising machine for scores of LGBT non-profits.
