Aquarium party kicks off Atlanta Pride [photos]

Not a Hollywood lesbian, an animal rights controversy, a protest or the dark of night could keep the gays from the annual Atlanta Pride Kickoff Party and its official start of the gayest weekend of the year at the Georgia Aquarium on Friday.
Sorry, Jane Lynch. We love you, but 4,000 gays helped sell out the venue despite calls from you and PETA to move the event. The throngs swarmed immediately following the private Atlanta Pride VIP party (view photos) in a separate aquarium party room.
DJs Corey Craig and Vicki Powell pumped beats into the common area of the aquarium, and guests had full access to wander off and into the underwater viewing rooms away from the maddening crowd.
