Atlanta Pride toasts its big gay festival [photos]
If softball players, swim jocks and non-profit do-gooders can do it, then why not the organizers of Atlanta’s big gay Pride festival? So they pulled out the kegs, shot glasses and Jell-O shots for a beer bust benefit on Saturday.
With near perfect weather, the expansive porch of Fifth Ivory on Juniper Street in Midtown and a crowd ready to toast the festival, which kicks off Friday, the benefit went off without a hitch. The event was part of the Atlanta Pride Committee’s expansive Stride Into Pride series, a lengthy list of parties, pageants and other nightlife to raise awareness, anticipation and cash for the weekend festival.
