Cowboys go urban with PALS Bingo [photos]

Cowpokes and cowgirls came out Wednesday to enjoy Urban Cowboy Bingo with Pets Are Loving Support and pay a little homage to the 30-year-old flick starring John Travolta.

On hand were plenty of cowboy hats and drag queens dressed in Western gear, including hosts Bubba D. Licious and Alexandria Martin. The event raises funds to support the non-profit’s work caring for the pets of critically-ill people.

The theme for the evening played off of “Urban Cowboy,” the 1980 romantic drama about the love-hate relationship between cowboy Bud David (Travolta) and cowgirl Sissy (Debra Winger).

The monthly bingo event came just two weeks after the PALS office was burglarized. Thieves made off with checks, donated items and cash.
