For the Kid busts out beer at Joe’s [photos]

As the anticipation mounts for their Backpack in the Park carnival, the folks at Atlanta’s gay-led For the Kid in All of Us threw a beer bust Saturday to raise money and awareness for the event.
The charity that gathers gargantuan gaggles of gays to benefit needy Georgia kids at two of the biggest events of the year, Backpack and Toy Party, knows how to combine good times with a good cause. On Saturday, the patio at Joe’s on Juniper didn’t just feature the ubiquitous $10 bottomless beer. Oh no. Jell-O shots, raffle prizes, DJ beats and a surprise performance by Baton Bob were also on tap.
Next up is For The Kid’s signature summer event. Backpack in the Park on July 28 in Piedmont Park collects school supplies for kids while serving up games, arts and crafts, DJ Vicki Powell and a “Retro Camp” theme this year.
