Four things to do tonight
There’s nothing like a busy Thursday to distract you from your bankrupt 401(k).
SEX AND WINE: The second annual “Sex, Wine and Chocolate” takes place at Park Tavern at 7 p.m. The event includes queer performers Lakara Foster, burlesque performer Vagina Jenkins and poet Yolo Akilia and raises funds to benefit SPARK and Project South. The groups work on civil rights issues in Georgia. Read more about SPARK.
GAYS FOR OBAMA: Gay and lesbian supporters of Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential bid hold a rally and information session at Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse at 7:30 p.m.
PROSPECTIVE PARENTS: YouthPride is hosting an informational session for prospective foster parents and their mentors. The session will also address how to help gay and lesbian youth who have been forced out of their foster home. The 7 p.m. event takes places at YouthPride’s offices in Inman Park.
FLAG FOOTBALL: The National Flag Football League of Atlanta continues its fall season with action tonight beginning at 6 p.m. Games take place at the Piedmont Park athletic fields. Can we say eye candy? Speaking of eye candy, there’s a photo album from Week 1.
Of course, there’s always the Biden-Palin debate at 9 p.m., which should provide no shortage of drinking games when Palin says something nonsensical.
