Gay Men’s Chorus throws ‘Encore’ gala [photos]

Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus let other singers take the stage on Sunday while they feted patrons, supporters and community leaders at their annual fundraising gala, this year teaming with cabaret performers for “Encore: A Night of Music.”
The crowd at Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center enjoyed drinks, dinner, silent auction and high-energy entertainment. A cocktail reception preceded the meal with the piano stylings of Guyton Maurice, and for dessert, some of Atlanta’s best cabaret acts were headlined by Broadway veteran and gay Atlanta entertainment phenom Robert Ray.
Columnist and former radio personality Melissa Carter served as host, while the chorus honored one of its own for his service to the chorus, as well as The Health Initiative’s Linda Ellis, Saint Mark United Methodist Church’s Josh Noblitt and a representative of Pricewaterhouse Coopers for service to the community (photo, left to right, with AGMC Artistic Director Kevin Robison at center).
