Neil Patrick Harris hosts “50 shades of gay” Tony awards, Country star supports gay marriage, federal Employment Non Discrimination Act reaches Senate committee, big 2012 Pride parades step off, Charlie Crist on gay accusations, and more LGBT headlines.

• Charlie Crist: Gay expose nothing more than “delusional pack of lies.” An investigation into a state Republican Party financial scandal implicates the former Florida governor (top photo) in paying off two men to hide his homosexuality. Crist says the allegations amount to nothing more than extortion.

• Senate to hold ENDA hearings this week. With fits and starts in the U.S. House since 1994, a federal ban on discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity finally reaches the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee at the bipartisan behest of four senators.

• Carrie Underwood loves the gays, y’all. The “Idol” winner turned Country superstar (second photo) spoke out in favor of gay marriage. “As a married person myself, I don’t know what it’s like to be told I can’t marry somebody I love, and want to marry. I can’t imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.”

• Campaign e-mail outs Republican Colorado rep’s gay son. The campaign manager for Rep. Marsha Looper applauded her boss voting against civil unions in an e-mail to supporters with an added factoid: “God is truly to be praised for Marsha Looper because she also has a homosexual son.”

• Neil Patrick Harris dubs Tony Awards “50 shades of gay.” The host’s (third photo) opening one-liner proved true with appearances not just by him but Jesse Tyler Fergusen, Judith Light, Harvey Fierstein and more iconic divas than you could count. Click to watch video clips and find winners.

• Gay men threaten lawsuit to get into sorority. Men Interested in Alpha Kappa Alpha is an all gay group that announced plans to file a gender discrimination lawsuit against the sorority.

• Alec Baldwin says his gay “Rock of Ages” kiss is important to half of America. “We live in an age, and I’m being imprecise here, where half the country gets it, and the other half doesn’t,” he said. “It’s like seeing women in power. Or like seeing African American CEOs. We’re in a fully realized age of equality in all things and it’s not surprising or new. But there is that other half for whom that is surprising and new.” The movie opens Friday, and it gets even gayer.

• Millions hit Sao Paulo Pride parade. An estimated 3 million people turned out for the world’s largest Pride celebration (bottom photo) on Sunday. That’s actually down from last year. They rainbowed it up the same day in Boston and in Los Angeles.

• Ke$ha performs commitment ceremony for lesbian friends. As it turns out, the bisexual singer is also an ordained minister and officiated the Malibu nuptials last week.
