How a fire on a farm killed The Gay Agenda
Ok, ok. We know. You are lost and confused, without your daily dose of The Gay Agenda to figure out what the hell you’re supposed to be doing to make your Friday a little more gay.
Trust us, there’s plenty you can be doing, especially since many of you have the day off for the holiday. Or don’t have a job because of the recession. Either way, we wish we could tell you each and every detail. But we can’t. Why? Simply put, a big fire.
No, no. Not at the Project Q Atlanta mothership. In Seattle. How does a fire in Seattle relate to The Gay Agenda? It’s simple, really.
The system that powers the PQA community calendar sits on a server at a server farm in Seattle. Turns out, an electrical fire this morning fried both the primary power and backup generators at the farm. Why both of those systems sit near one another is a question for another day. Nevertheless, the server with our stuff is safe, so we’re told. But there’s no power to run it. And we’re not the only web site affected by the outage.
With no power for the server, there’s no calendar. With no calendar, there’s no events listings. And with no event listings, there’s no Friday edition of The Gay Agenda. Yet.
We’re hopeful the problem gets fixed. Soon. But until then, pieces of the site may be looking or acting weird. That’s where pieces of the calendar go.
Sit back, enjoy your day off and hopefully we’ll be able to deliver your dose of The Gay Agenda to fuel the rest of your gay Friday.
