Lesbian takes her tasty sausage to West Midtown
Lesbian restaurateur Delia Champion’s on again, off again desire to take her tasty chicken sausage to the gays of West Midtown is on. Again.
Co-owner of the popular Delia’s Chicken Sausage Stand in East Atlanta, Champion – or at least a chatty employee – let it be known earlier this month that a second eatery was in the works. Fans of the Flying Biscuit founder’s food drooled in delightful anticipation.
Then Champion poured cold water on rumors of a second location.
Now, she’s reheating the rumors as fact and serving them up to What Now Atlanta.
“We just closed on a new property at the corner of Northside Drive and Marietta Street at the entrance to the Westside,” Champion told What Now Atlanta in an email Tuesday. “No idea when we’ll be open.”
Let’s hope it’s soon. The gays can never get enough good meat in West Midtown.
