Out on Film growls to a festival close [photos]
Out on Film closed its eight-day, 25th anniversary festival with a growl on Thursday, thanks to a theater full of bears, cubs, director Doug Langway and actor Gerald McCullouch.
Langway and McCulloch, also know as Bobby Dawson on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” were on hand for the screening of their “BearCity 2: The Proposal” and a Q&A with audience members after. Both men have ties to Atlanta, with Langway’s father calling the city home and McCullouch having attended school here and nabbed his first job a Six Flags Over Georgia.
A third “BearCity” is in the works but Langway didn’t offer any hints in brief comments before the screening, which was sponsored by Project Q Atlanta.
Out on Film’s closing night also included a second encore presentation of “Cloudburst” with Olympic Dukakis. The festival took place at Landmark’s Midtown Art Cinema.
