Obama wishes Happy Pride, except for Atlanta
America’s first gay president, Barack Obama, can’t stop talking gay. He gay pitches, he gay marries, he gay gabs and he’s gay perfect. Now, he’s wishing the gays a Happy Pride! Except for the ones in Atlanta who don’t do Pride in June.
The White House released the two-minute Pride video on Friday to coincide with the traditional start of Pride month across the U.S. He celebrates teachers, students, gay military members and even LGBT allies who evolve and “make change happen.” Hint, hint. Not so subtle reference to his marriage thing.
So there you go. Happy Pride! Obama would even celebrate Pride with us in Atlanta when he hits town on June 26. But he’s about four months too early.
