• Carmen Carrera’s “Cake Boss” episode yanked over transphobic zinger. The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum (top photo, right) who recently came out as transgender was pissed when “Cake Boss” Buddy Valasco (left) revealed on camera that his cohort had been flirting “with a man, baby!” Carrera had agreed to be referred to as “born male.” She started a petition, and TLC killed the episode.

• iPhone O6 adds gay emoticons. The treasure trove of choices of “emogiis” for iPhone users gets an LGBT influx with gay and lesbian icons to share of couples, parents, same-sex kisses and more (middle photos).

• The end of gay marriage’s losing streak with voters? Reasons why 2012 could turn the tide on voter-approved marriage inequality with November votes on the issue in four states.

• Nun-Vatican faceoff over gays, feminism. The Leadership Conference of Women in Religion, which represents the majority of U.S. nuns, got a rebuke from the Pope for supporting abortion, gay marriage and “radical feminism.” Leaders of the group took their distaste for the edict to Rome for a meeting with Vatican officials. How “The View” gals supported another gay-lovin’ nun censured by the Vatican.

• Billy Graham not anti-gay enough for Fred Phelps. In the anti-gay crazy clan’s latest unexplainable action, members of Westboro Baptist Church traveled to North Carolina to protest Graham for not opposing homosexuality.

Kyle Piers (bottom photo, left) recounts the love story behind the video-gone-viral of his tear-filled, song-filled proposal to boyfriend Tommy (right) in front of 700 people and his former college a cappella group.
