Atlanta’s Equally Wed mag takes content monthly
There was an extra goodie in the swag bag of the fall issue of Equally Wed, the Atlanta-based online gay wedding magazine. Editor Kirsten Palladino announced that the popularity of the Real (Gay!) Weddings feature called for a monthly format.
The online magazine unveiled its fall 2011 issue last week with tips on champagne receptions, trends in fall invitations, fashion and hair for your big day, as well as the latest batch of honeymoon destination reviews and Real (Gay!) Weddings from Paris-themed to Circus-themed and beyond.
It also includes an update on the story of Equally Wed cofounders Maria and Kirsten Palladino (photo, left-right), who took their 2009 wedding that inspired the magazine and made it legal with a New York marriage certificate this summer.
But the best surprise for fans of the magazine is buried in the Letter from the Editor. We were paying attention.
It’s because of the popularity of our Real (Gay!) Weddings that we have decided to halt our quarterly issues and move to a monthly format. You’ll still be able to indulge in new content daily in our Headlines, Style Watch and Planning sections that you’ve enjoyed over the past two years. But now we’ll be bringing you even more Real Weddings every month, instead of every season, as well as more valuable reviews of gay-friendly honeymoon destinations around the globe.
